Talk with Ety
Hi, I’m Etela.I support parents of young children with a background in Childhood and Youth Studies and specialist training from Stanford in child development and behavior.I work primarily with parents to help them better understand and support their child’s emotional, social, and behavioral growth — but when helpful, I also work one-on-one with children to build trust and insight. My approach blends evidence-based strategies, Montessori methods, and a nurturing, down-to-earth style.Sessions available in English or Czech, online or from my calm home setting in Prague.

What Parents Are Saying
Parenting is a journey, and sometimes it helps to hear from those who have walked a similar path. Here are a few words from families who have found guidance, support, and a fresh perspective through our work together.
Not sure if this is right for you?
That’s completely okay. I’ve answered a few of the most common questions that come up — from what to expect, to whether this kind of support is really necessary. These are honest, straightforward answers to help you feel more confident, informed, and comfortable before reaching out.
Ready to get started?
Let’s talk — no pressure, just a warm first step.
To give each family the care they deserve, space is limited.
Does my child really need help?
Not necessarily because something is “wrong.”
Many parents I work with simply want extra support navigating challenging phases — whether it’s tantrums, school stress, sleep changes, or social struggles. Seeking help doesn’t mean there’s a problem; it often means you’re being proactive, and that can make all the difference.
Is this therapy for me or for my child?
It’s both — but the work starts with you.
I guide and support you, the parent, so you can better understand and respond to your child’s needs. You’ll learn new tools and perspectives that often lead to noticeable changes at home — calmer routines, better communication, fewer power struggles.
But I’m the parent. Shouldn’t I just know what to do
It’s normal to feel that way — and it’s also okay to need support.
Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, and many of us are raising children in ways we were never shown ourselves. Asking for guidance is a strength, not a weakness. I’m here to walk alongside you, not to judge you.
Can I try it first?
Of course.
You’re welcome to schedule a short private call — no pressure, just a chance to talk through your needs and see if we’re a good fit. It’s free, and many parents say even that first chat helps bring clarity and calm.

Jitka - mom of two
"We turned to Ety when we no longer knew how to deal with our daughter’s behavior. She listened to us patiently and then described and explained the whole situation in a way that finally helped us understand our daughter and make sense of her actions. She gave us original, tailored advice on how to communicate with our daughter and how to help her cope with difficult situations. Thanks to that, we got through a tough period and our relationship with our daughter grew stronger. Etel is perceptive, kind, and has a deep understanding of the world of children."
Mother of three
"Ety is a deeply empathetic and kind person who can quickly earn the trust of both parents and children. She’s built a strong connection with both me and my four-year-old daughter. Etela is a true professional, capable of helping with challenges that might feel impossible to solve.I would recommend a conversation with Ety to any parent who wants to better understand their child’s behavior or simply needs reassurance that they’re doing the best for their child."
